I have a 19months old daughter she weights about 23lbs and I used this carrier to travel on the train and bus in NYC.
It was a challenge to get her in the carrier, but once she was in, it was very easy and secure for the 2 of us, she seemed comfortable when she was sleeping. However when she was awake it was a completly different story, she did not like it and wanted out of it.
So it is a great product however not for an awake toddler. Unless she is facing out, which seemed to calm my daughter a little.

Disappointed with the size recommendation on Baby Ktan’s site and it was too small. My daughter doesn’t like it probably because she doesn’t like being swaddled. I recommend trying it out with your baby before buying.

Great alternative to the knot-wrap baby carriers. With a little practice it’s easy to get baby in and out.
Wears the weight of the child over the shoulders, I’ve worn my baby for hours without effort.

We are new parents to twins, and I purchased this sling because of the ability to actually have two newborns in here it once. It does work! More often than not, I only have one baby in at a time though. At first my husband was dubious, but once he realized that a fussy baby calms down in moments he is a believer.
We actually ended up ordering a second one, and we often each wear a baby while going about household chores, or to calm them down after middle of the night feedings.
I haven’t used any other sling, so cannot compare it to others, but I would definitely recommend the Baby K’tan!

My 5 month old son loves being carried facing away from me. It’s pretty comfortable to wear the carrier. After a while, the baby starts to feel pretty heavy, but I think that is because he weighs 17 pounds. I like that the carrier allows for so many different positions for baby and that it can be thrown in the washer.
