Best material to use is a thick cloth that has been double sewn with strong thread. Take some pictures of it and sew the whole thing together.

at age zero, can not even hold scissors to cut the fabric.

Some fabric stores actually offer AA material already printed as “books” all you have to do is cut and also follow the direction printed on the fabric. Try going to Walmart or Hobby Lobby to look I saw them in both places.

You can find pre-printed fabric that a lot of fabric stores carry.
They have instructions printed on the fabric itself.
You can also probably find patterns for them at fabric stores. I attached a link to a fabric store that sells them.
They usually have more selection online store. Good luck.

Make sure the fabric is cleaned and stitched together safely and no adhesives.

If you want to design your own book, using strips of white cotton cloth, beige, or natural background. Cut the fabric into strips that are 6. 5 inches by 12. 5 inches.
You can then use a paint brush and canvas, or acrylic paint geometric designs in the background. Just make sure you are not too detailed, as babies can only see 6 inches in front of them for the first few months.
The best colors to use the colors are black and primary education. Babies can not distinguish white cakes until after the 6th mes.Una Once you’ve painted designs, then use a LIGHTWEIGH batting for the inside and use a 1 / 4 inch seam to sew ( together with the right side). To assemble the pages to the book, knit zig-zag single up the middle (to make the book easier to manipulate).
