I think I’m misunderstanding your question but if you’re only using sewing tape then no. Since I most likely am misunderstanding your question I would suggest not only using sewing tape to keep the diaper together. Cloth diapers as I understand them are quite easy to make given their basic shape and then you can just safety pin them together at the corners. Fabric baby wipes would also be easy as they are just squares of cloth that you could hem using sewing tape, most likely.

Don’t use tape or any other attachment that can come off easily. Babies chew on everything and they could choke on a strip of tape.

Most baby clothes etc is sewn using a serger that sews and creates the edge at the same time.

Polar fleece is nice, and does not unravel if you just cut it into pieces.

Don’t bother “making” diapers – buy a huge pack for practically nothing.
